After a devastating kiln disaster — complete with a power failure, glaze drips, and heartbreaking cracks — I’ve somehow found the strength (and time!) to remake my intricate competition piece for the upcoming Far Forest Countryside Show - but did it survive?

This kiln opening is not just about pottery — it’s about resilience, risk, and hoping the kiln gods are finally on my side.

My anxiety was sky-high as I waited to see if my peacock glaze 2nd attempt for the competition had survived... or slid off the piece & cracked like the last time.
