Professor Samuel Zeitlin from the University College London presented “Directions in Hitchcock's North by Northwest.”
Samuel Zeitlin is a lecturer in Modern European History at the University College London. Professor Zeitlin teaches the history of political thought, international relations, political philosophy, and intellectual history. In 2016, his translation and edition of Land and Sea was honored at the Independent Publisher Book Awards in 2016. He has also published works, including “Eutopia of Empire: Francis Bacon's Short View and the Imperial and Colonial Background to the New Atlantis,” Political Research Quarterly; “Indirection and the Rhetoric of Tyranny: Carl Schmitt’s The Tyranny of Values 1960-1967,” Modern Intellectual History; and “Francis Bacon on Peace and the 1604 Treaty of London,” History of Political Thought.
