It’s that time again to head to the trails and take a ride on a very popular trail bike. This time it’s the Vitus Mythique VRX. This is a 140/140 Trail Bike with a Sram SX Eagle Drivetrain, Marzocchi Bomber Z2 Fork, Rockshox Rear Shock, and Shimano Deore Hydraulic Brakes. If you’re considering the 2021 version, it will include the Shimano Deore 1x12 instead. This particular bike belongs to my good friend Michael who entrusted me to put it to the test at the Mt. Zion trails in Brookhaven Mississippi. Overall, I would say this is an amazing bike for the value. I thought it felt most at home in the jumpy sections and at speed in the descents. It was not the best climber in the Full Suspension 29er category that I’ve tried as that place is being held by the 2021 Orbea Occam H30 I reviewed just last week. The geometry is very natural, and I can’t recall a time at any point that I felt sketched out by the bike.
