⚠️ LOST OBB, now FOUND:
#WATCH: An extremely rare 1984 TV recording of RPN Channel 9’s “NewsWatch Pilipino Edition” — the 6 AM newscast of KBS News and Current Affairs.

This Filipino-language morning newscast, aired via Domestic Satellite (DomSat), was recorded on November 23, 1984 using a Betamax tape — during an era when Philippine television news was still presented mostly in English. One of its notable anchors was then-unmarried journalist Luchi Cruz.

The video opens with the glittery and majestic “RPN The Leader” station ID, followed by a sweeping helicopter view of Broadcast City in Quezon City, home to the Kanlaon Broadcasting System (KBS) group: BBC-2, RPN-9, and IBC-13.
