Glorious weather for the September running day. With some regulars away there was the opportunity for some different train combinations.
Here we see 3521 + 3609 double heading, a Wolgan Valley Shay, a stretched 39 class 3901, a 422, a Fowler can loco, a Midland Spinner and an American 2-6-0, WAGR V class 2-8-2, a Nigel Gresley 2-8-0 and a Simplex.
Full trains and heavy loads were the order of the day! Alas not in the video was a Hunslet.
This running day is a week before the 200th anniversary of passenger rail starting with the Stockton to Darlington Railway.
