I missed this cookie a lot. One of my favorite snacks in Philippines. I’m glad I could make it myself in my own kitchen!
Dough ingredients:
1 and 3/4 cups Bread flour
1/4 cup Granulated sugar
1 Egg
1 tbsp Shortening
1/4 tsp Instant Yeast (optional)
1/4 tsp Salt
1/2 cup Milk
2 drops gel food color in red
For the filling ingredients:
1 cup plain Breadcrumbs
1/2 cup + 2 Tablespoons all purpose flour
1/2 cup Dark brown sugar
3 Tablespoons Granulated sugar
1/4 tsp Salt
1 tsp Vanilla extract
1 large Egg
3 tbsp Melted butter
1/4 tsp Baking soda
1 /2 tsp Baking powder
2 Drops of food color
