Molagootal is a classic Palakkad style kootu or gravy that is both tasty and nutritious. Toor dal, special coconut masala paste, and any vegetable or greens of your choosing are used to make this dish.Here I have used pudalangai or Snake Gourd for this recipe. The procedure is the same for all molagootal types.This recipe was made in a pressure cooker.
This pudalangai molagootal is delicious with hot steamed rice drizzled with ghee, but it can also be served as a side dish with chapati, poori, dosa, and other Indian dishes.

Asafoetida Powder - 1/4 spoon
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Grated Coconut - 4 spoon

Dry Chilli - 4 nos
Raw Mango - 200g
Boiled Toor Dal - 4 tbsp
Curry Leaves
Coconut Oil - 1 & 1/2 spoon
Mustard - 1/4 spoon
Dry Chilli - 1 no
Urad Dal - 1/2 spoon
