Technically, power harrow is considered to be an advanced version of rotavator. With the help of this machine, the farmer can prepare the field for sowing seeds in one go. Bhagat Singh, farm manager of Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), tells Kisan of India that power harrow ploughs the soil to a depth of 8 to 10 inches and makes it friable, which increases the water holding capacity of the land.
