Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Coleman-Mach Signature Mach 3 13,500 BTU ducted RV air conditioner system in this textured white cover. Now, as you probably know, one of the biggest headaches in RV repairs is figuring out which parts go together, which parts are compatible. This kit is going to take all that off of your plate. The rooftop unit, that comes with this air distribution box and a thermostat.
So everything is designed to work together, so installation's going to go a whole lot smoother. Setup's gonna be a lot more reliable. So whether you're doing the install yourself or you're paying someone else to do it, having everything together in one kit that's designed to work together is gonna make the process a lot faster and less stressful. So this is made for RVs with ducted air and with 13,500 BTUs of cooling power, the system's gonna move air through your ceiling ducts to bring the temperature down quickly and evenly throughout the space without blasting you in the face or leaving dead spots near the bed. So inside the unit are large coils and airflow boosting fins that are gonna help pull the heat out efficiently so your RV stays cooler with less strain on the system.
You're gonna walk in, the air's gonna feel great, dry, cool, more breathable, and you're also going to enjoy a better night's sleep as well with that nice, cool, comfortable air. Let's talk measurements. The overall length of this unit from end to end, we're sitting right at about 39 inches long. Then the overall width, 26 inches wide. And this is considered like a mid-profile air conditioner unit.
So the height's about 13 and 1/2 inches tall. This is going to install on your 14 and 1/4 inch by 14 and 1/4 inch opening on your roof. And this unit weighs about 80 pounds. Now, taking a closer look here at what's included, we've got this air distribution box. It's going to give you direct or ducted airflow.
So you're going to open the louvers for cool air straight down into the cabin and then you can close them to push the air through your existing duct work in your RV or camper. And then these easy reach grills are going to pop open so you can remove and rinse the washable filters, keeping air moving efficiently. And this has a low profile design. So lemme go ahead and just kind of show you what this is going to look like when it's installed in your ceiling. So it's really not going to take up a bunch of headroom in your camper. This is going to stick down maybe about an inch and 1/2 or so. And just to give you some further measurements, looking at the overall width, about 19 inches wide, the overall length, right at 20 inches long. I just wanted to flip this over to give you a view of the backside of it. So as you can see at the bottom of my table there, this does include the hardware here. So you're gonna get this frame, you're gonna get the bolts to install the air conditioner wiring, the control box here as well. This is basically the brains of the operation. And then you are going to get this thermostat. This does feature easy temperature control. This simple digital thermostat's gonna let you adjust settings on this air conditioner unit, has a clear backlit display. The screen's gonna be easy to read day or night, so you're not gonna be fumbling with buttons in the dark. This is about four inches tall, two and 1/2 inches wide and about one inch thick. So again, everything is going to be included with this kit as you see it here. And I do wanna point out that this is not going to be backwards compatible with any AC system from 2024 and earlier due to the new R32 refrigerant. This air conditioner does use that R32 refrigerant. So that's what's nice about getting this kit because everything is designed to work and be compliant and work together with that R32 refrigerant. So if you have any other components in your camper, RV, air conditioning wise that's not compliant with that R32 refrigerant, this system is not going to work with those components. It's not gonna be backwards compatible, just so you're aware of that. This also does have the ability to have a heat strip installed separately. So if you're looking to kind of take the chill out of the air, it's not cool enough to kick your furnace on, but maybe some warnings just have that bite in the air. You can pick up this heat strip
