In series 1, the antagonism between Nick Cutter and Claudia Brown turns into love. However, at the end of series 1, Cutter comes back from the past to find that something had happened and Claudia was gone-as if she had never existed. No one believes Cutter's claims that Claudia was ever there. Things turn complicated when Cutter's new colleague, Jenny, joins the team-she is the exact image of Claudia, but with a completely different personality. Cutter struggles with accepting Jenny for who she is, and is determined to try to change things and bring Claudia back.
