4 Rules for the Perfect MBA Resume

Putting together a resume seems like a routine task, which you may have done several times before: after graduating college, applying for your first job, making a career change. Yet, preparing your resume for business school takes a bit more special attention.

Oftentimes MBA applicants tend to stuff as many “highlights” into this document as they can, but this is not the best approach. When the admissions committees have over 20-30 pages of a complete application to review, the resume for business school should serve as a one-page overview.

David White, co-founder of Menlo Coaching, discusses the resume as the centerpiece of your MBA application. It needs to cover you as a whole person, it needs to be specific, and it needs to be targeted.
