Resident Evil 5 Retrospective - Future Without Fear

I have a soft spot for Resident Evil 5, but the way it embraces a future without fear frustrates rather than frights. Its greatest problem is that it doesn’t know what it wants to be. It suffers as both an action game and a horror game to the point that it’s regularly bland.
