New Vision Zero Electroliners have entered service on London bus route 151. These are Go-Ahead London's first Vision Zero buses. They feature a new interior, shown later.
These new Electroliners are coded "DEL". DEL9 and DEL16 were used on the first day. More will enter service soon, replacing Optare Olympuses.
The 151 was retained by Go-Ahead in December 2022. New ADL BYD Enviro400 City EVs were ordered for the route. However, due to a tight turn at Worcester Park Station. This caused Enviro400 EVs to be banned from the route.
The E400 EVs ordered for the 151 are now at Merton and Camberwell garages. They are used on route 35 (Shoreditch to Clapham Junction), Route 40 (Clerkenwell Green to Dulwich Library), Route 185 (Victoria to Lewisham Station), Route 108's night service (North Greenwich to Lewisham), Route 57 (Clapham Park, Atkins Road to Kingston), And route 131 (Tooting Broadway to Kingston). The Enviro400 EVs will soon be used on route 280 in the future.
The 151 is the last route to use Optare Olympuses. Only 15 have been used recently, With DOE38, 39, 41, 42, 43, 44, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53 and 54 being used in the past few months. DOE38, 50 and 51 have been reported at Waterloo (RA) garage. These buses will likely be withdrawn.
The rest of Go-Ahead's DOEs were withdrawn in 2023. They were used at Sutton (A) garage, And entered service in 2009. DOEs were used on route 80 (Hackbridge, Reynolds Close to Belmont, High Down), Route 93 (Putney Bridge to North Cheam), Route 154 (Morden to West Croydon), And route 213 (Kingston to Sutton, Bushey Road).
Route 151 runs from Worcester Park to Wallington. The route runs via Longfellow Road, Lindsay Road, North Cheam, Cheam Leisure Centre, Malden Road, Cheam Broadway, St Dunstan's Hill, Western Road, Secombe Centre, Sutton Civic Centre, St Nicholas Centre, Crown Road, Sutton Green, Rosehill Park West, Rose Hill Roundabout, St Helier Hospital, Green Wrythe Lane, Muschamp Road, Wrythe Green, Corbet Close, Hackbridge Station, Beddington Park, Manor Road North, Queens Road, Wallington Station and Wallington Town Centre.
Route 151 runs every 10 to 20 minutes. The route runs daily, from 05:00 until 00:50. The 151 is 9 miles (15 km) long.
Route 151 commenced operation in February 1984. The route ran between Worcester Park and Wallington, via the same route as it does now. The 151 originally ran as a Monday to Saturday service. In 1985, mid-day services were cut between Worcester Park and North Cheam. These services were re-extended in 1987.
A Sunday service was introduced in 1988, running between Wallington and Sutton. In November 1988, the 151 was withdrawn between Worcester Park and North Cheam. It was rerouted to Lower Morden at the same time.
In 1991, the 151 was changed to run between Wallington and Sutton on Sundays.
The 151 was extended to Worcester Park on Sundays in 1995. However, it was cut to Cheam the next year.
In 1997, the 151 was extended to Worcester Park on Monday to Saturdays. The route continued to terminate at Cheam at for late evenings and Sundays.
In 2001, the route was changed, and all journeys ran to Worcester Park.
In 2008, Optare Olympuses entered service. At the same time, the route was cut between North Cheam and Worcester Park.
The 151 was re-extended to Worcester Park in 2011.

The route connects to the Superloop SL7 at five locations. Including at Sutton Police Station (for buses towards West Croydon), Sutton / Grove Road (for buses towards Heathrow Airport Central), Cheam Broadway, North Cheam / London Road, And Worcester Park Station.
