How to replace the speed controller in an electric scooter

In this video, you will learn how to replace the speed controller in an electric scooter from start to finish.
Before you proceed it'll be a good idea to check your throttle first by unplugging its cable from the speed controller to see if it is the why motor runs continuously after turning the scooter on as sometimes it could just be the throttle.

Things you need to take care of are:

Make sure that the new speed controller is the same voltage as the original one and it should also have at least the same power output as the original one.
Make sure that you are following your wiring diagram as some of the wires may have different connectors on them compared to the old speed controller.
Make sure that the charging port hooks up to the charging connector with the wires are properly matching red to red and black to black.
Make sure that the battery connects to the battery connector with the wires matching red to red and black to black.
Be sure to connect the battery at the end because you don't want power running through all those wires while they're exposed when working with all the different cables.
