Lelin Gado & group in session. Sweet but intense maloya of the famous Gado family from St Paul / Reunion.

Well protected from easterly winds and storms, west coast of the island is tranquil and serene. Coconut trees and the black volcanic sands encircling St Paul bay witnessed the very first human landing on the island. They have witnessed it all. Serenity perfectly fused together with drama.

So is maloya from this part of the island. Slow, beautiful but heavy with its load and message. Lelin Gado is well recognized across the island. People fell for his voice and respect him as the one who carry Gado family heritage forward. Be it Friday night "Ron maloya" night by the beach or sacred ceremonies on the west coast Lelin will be there keeping the culture alive.
