10 Fun Facts: Zilker Park in Austin, Texas

Zilker Park is a 350-acre recreational area just south of downtown Austin on Lady Bird Lake. It’s the site of some of Austin’s biggest events, including Austin City Limits Festival, the Zilker Park Kite Festival, and the Trail of Lights. Some of the activities available there include disc golf, volleyball, soccer and kayaking/canoeing on Lady Bird Lake. Some of the attractions at the park include the Zilker Botanical Garden, Umlauf Sculpture Garden, the Austin Nature and Science Center and one of Austin’s crown jewels, the Barton Springs Pool.
