It occurs to me belatedly that it probably wasn't the best idea to follow a video about a French illustrator that not many viewers seem to have had any interest in with another who will probably get a similar level of disregard, but here it is anyway.
Paul Colin should not be confused with his namesake, Paul Emile Colin, an artist born some years earlier. The Paul Colin featured here rose to celebrity status in the 1920s and unlike others managed to continue to enjoy yet more success and widespread admiration well into old age. But like many of those I've covered he now receives nothing like the attention his contribution to 20th century graphics deserves.
