Argerich | Abbado: Prokofiev - Piano Concerto No. 3 (1969, live)

Things have been very difficult for us all lately, haven't they? I've been a little unhappy with everything that is going on in my country and around the globe. My sadness somehow prevented me from doing things I like, which includes uploading stuff here on YouTube. Another thing that discouraged me from posting anything is the fact that some pages have been downloading material from my channel and uploading in their own channels, instagram accounts etc.

Last Sunday, however, I was checking my archive and I came across this recording of the Prokofiev concerto that I simply love, so I thought of sharing it here.
Argerich and Abbado had a wonderful creative partnership and whenever they shared the stage, it was a historic event. This performance of the 3rd Prokofiev concerto you are listening to was given two years after they recorded that legendary Deutsche Grammophon disc (featuring Liszt/Prokofiev concerti) and, in my opinion, is even more exhilarating than the one in that LP. Notice how the audience goes wild when they finish. I hope you all are doing good. Stay safe!
