(NDS) Super Fruit Fall Gameplay

SN: As promised to Blaine that I was going to do this request for him. However, I started to experience some migraine a day later after I was finished with the recording and was working on the designs. Don't know if it has to do with the lack of rest or not drinking enough fluid?

This one took some time with the editing for Angelica to be in dress, made out of fruits (including the hat). As to fit in with the concept & theme of this game; along with the famous surreal fruit (even w/vegetables) man painting: Vertumnus by Giuseppe Arcimboldo.

Since this request is done. Just wanted to take some breaks from it, by hosting some more videos in the meantime. Also, real sorry for the audio scrambling sound that you'll hear in this video as I couldn't tell if I'm using a clean, fresh rom for this game when I recorded it?

Aloha, everybody! Here’s a special Edible Arrangement treat: “Super Fruit Fall,” a NDS gameplay of it, requested by Blaine Angelo20.

Super Fruit Fall is a timed-tilting fruit puzzle game, created by Nissimo & SLAM Productions (Aqua Pacific for the Wii, PlayStation 2 & PSP) in 2006 for the Wii in the UK, 2007 for Australia & 2009 for the US. And it was published by System 3 (Codemasters for the Wii in the US). Only the Nintendo DS version was released to the US in 2007 by SoGoPlay & Codemasters.

The objective of this game is to match three of the type of fruits within the time limit, while scrolling the platform, while other fruits might get in the way. This game is like both Collapse & Columns; a match-three puzzle-type, except with common fruits: Strawberries, Bananas, Oranges & Apples.

Except, you have to keep moving the platform around or counter-clockwise, until three of the same fruit matches to disappear and for the platform itself to be empty; in order to advance to the next level with each difficulty. I wasn’t really familiar with this type of puzzle as I’ve played Collapse & Columns games on Mame.

But not one where you move the platform in a clockwise or counter-clockwise, even to match the same fruit together, which this game plays out as a 2-D version of Rubik’s Cube. Started out with practice to try and get the hang of it.

Sometimes it gets confusing with memorizing which fruit comes down first and which one would be beside one another, while turning the platform. I only did good on some levels of the Factory Island, but certain levels starts to get a little more difficult, yet challenging with the small gaps for certain fruit to drop into. The time limit can be a problem, if you’re take longer at guessing, while trying to match the three same fruit in a row.

It does get tricky, later on when I reached level nine and almost ran out of time. But, I finally manage to clear three strawberries, three apples & three bananas in a nick of time (only by 2 seconds!). The tenth level wasn’t bad as there were only three pair of apples & bananas; especially there plenty of spaces in the platform to move the fruits.

Only the eleventh level was the most fun, yet challenging one for me. It took longer to try to figure out how to get one pair of fruits out of the way as I lost a life after I ran out of time; especially for the second try.

Shoot! I was so close on the last try as I finally made the strawberries disappeared, before the final countdown on the timer expired and lost three number of chances/lives for a game over.

That was as far as I can go. Considering, this was a long gameplay and didn’t want to waste time on starting every level of stage one, all over again.

Not to mention that I have other things to work on before we get to real, interesting stuff. But anyway, I hope you, Blaine & everyone have enjoyed this incredibly fun, wacky fruit-matching puzzle gameplay and we’ll see for what’s coming up after?
