U.S. Army Air Corps Lieutenant Archie W. Miller, recounts his time as a B-29 navigator while stationed on the island of Tinian during World War II, including his last mission, Hiroshima. He flew on 35 combat missions. What he does not mention here is that he was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal, the Silver Star and the Distinguished Flying Cross. He died on Monday afternoon, June 6, 2016. He was a great guy. He is also a part of history. I added the music at beginning, Benny Goodman's "Stomping at the Savoy" and the end, "String of Pearls" by Glenn Miller. Dad loved that music.
