I've been thinking about this line of dialogue in Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest for a few years now. Are the writers of this film implying human meat was being sold from Pelegosto? It's an island of cannibals, I doubt they just have pork to trade, so are they actually trading human meat for the spices? Are these sailors selling it as pork, when it's actually human flesh?
