System Logistics for Italtrans

Having set up an automated intensive warehouse and a mini-load warehouse to manage picking operations for low rotation products, with redundancy, scalability and dematerialisation of technologies as key points, System Logistics continues its profitable partnership with Italtrans S.p.A. by integrating the new PickMate picking system.

PickMate is a fully automated picking system that is ideal for managing high flow references for the beverage industry, where parcels are picked directly from the source pallet and unloaded onto the destination pallets without using an intermediate buffer.
All this is possible thanks to SyStore software, the heart of PickMate, which drives the solution with the "best-fitting" algorithm. The solution we developed for Italtrans consists of three linear lanes, each with three anthropomorphic robots, and an AGV system made up of 20 laser-guided trolleys, which load the first 70 items with high rotation in the ABC class of the beverage industry. The anthropomorphic robots are programmed to pick up the product directly from the outgoing pallet using three System Logistics patented clamps to form the pallet that is delivered to its destination.
The management of the pallets within the automated area is ensured by 16 Sharks and 4 LGV, which allow you to move the pallets safely.
Safety has not been neglected in the development of these automated systems, which can significantly improve the working conditions of employees, especially in a company like Italtrans that handles all types of goods, both food and non-food, at different temperatures, from ambient to frozen.
