This is a video of our resident squirrel who the neighbourhood had called P’tit Blanc (TEE-blahn), which is French for “little white” (petit blanc), named due to this little female squirrel’s tail having a shock of white at the tip. When I first moved in, we thought it was a baby skunk scurrying around, but we soon heard from the neighbour that no that’s “P’tit Blanc”! Here, I am just getting to know her and she’s clearly nursing. This is at my old house in 2020. I am in a different place with a small backyard now.
