Irakli West USAR INSARAG Teamleader and Nigel Letherby from Paratech Inc. discuss Trench rescue from a different angle. Most webinars will try to come up with solutions to incidents with no restrictions in equipment – which isn't realistic.

This series will explore specific meathods related to possible scenarios – going through the equipment – and the theory behind using it right. Irakli will be focusing on the theory, and Nigel on the products, they will both join in for live Q&A throughout the Virtual Workshop.

We recommend attendees bring a pad and pencil to take notes, this will be a technical presentation. After the presentation, Paratech presenters will be live to respond to questions and comments. You can submit your questions when registering or during the presentation!

Irakli established Heavy Rescue Germany in 2009 initially to offer training for Paratech Rescue equipment users. Since then, the portfolio has grown to cover related issues such as structural collapse, heavy rescue, man in machine and much more.



Heavy Rescue Germanys 30 trainers and specialists ensure the organisation remains ahead of the game, to include current topics such as accidents with electric vehicles.



Irakli had the honour to attend various Trench Rescue training courses, including at the Fire Services college in Moreton-on-Marsh and with MUSAR foundation in Michigan, USA.



The knowledge gained was translated into a "fit for the system" philosophy in Germany, focussing on simple and safe operations. Irakli co-authored the German manual for Trench Rescue Operations in Germany together with Robin Piper, now due for its second edition.



Heavy Rescue Germany is the acknowledged leader for Trench Rescue training in Germany, and is also active internationally including the Fire Department of Santigo, Chile.
