Thank you guys for tuning in to Simply Dhol, your online resource for dhol lessons!
This video consists of 4 parts, which are:
1) Dha, Na, Ge, Na
2) Na, Ke, Na, Ke
3) Ti Ra Ki Ta
4) Ge Na Ge Na
Each part is designed so that you focus on one thing until your mind and body become familiar with it. This is a great approach you can use to learn so many different beats, fills etc., especially those things that you find most difficult because you're breaking down something to smaller parts, which are easier to absorb.
This is played in thirty-second notes, which are likely going to be the greatest subdivision you will play on the dhol. There are eight 32nd notes for every quarter note pulse.
