How much do you make as a United States Postal Service worker?
So USPS is one of the few companies where no matter what location you work in, if you're working the same job, you get paid the same amount. So USPS workers start out at $19.33 per hour for city carrier assistants. You stay as a city carrier assistance and you max out a $19.83 per hour. After you finally become a regular at USPS, you then start at $23.05 per hour, which is the equivalent of about $46,000 per year. So after 13.3 years, you then max out at $37.70 per hour, which is about $75,000 per year. This doesn't include overtime. You also get some pretty great benefits working at USPS like 26 PTO days, 13 sick days, paid holidays, as well as full Social Security, a pension and you get a 5% TSP which is equivalent to a 401k.
