Yuba Roots Kickstand Add-On | Assembly

This videos shows the installation procedure of the Yuba Roots Kickstand.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
• Remove existing kickstand from your Spicy/Sweet Curry
• Remove Roots stand from box and remove packaging
• Install the Roots spring base where the previous kickstand was installed.
• Install pivoting base plate and Tighten bolts to 15Nm
• Identify the 4 kickstand mounting bolt holes near the rear axle. Remove the frame bolt on the upright frame tube in between the bolt holes
• Mount the Roots legs to the frame using the 65mm long frame bolts. Also install the previously remove frame bolt through the Roots vertical stabilizing tab. Tighten to 12Nm.
• Identify the bolt holes near the headtube of the bike. Using the 90mm frame bolts, mount the deploy lever to the frame. Tighten to 12Nm.
• Adjust the leg connecting arms so they are the same length. Measure from ball joint end to ball joint end. This will require removing the ball-joint from the Roots leg (8 and 10mm wrenches) and adjusting accordingly. Tighten the locknuts when length is set to 187mm (10 and 11mm wrenches)
• Deploy the stand several times to pre-stretch the cable. Once stretched, pull up slack by loosing the cable anchor bolt on the deploy lever, pulling out cable until the line is taught, and tightening the cable anchor bolt. Tighten to 6Nm.
• Use the barrel adjusters to remove any remaining slack
• Trim the excess cable. Leave about 1 inch of tail and apply cable crimp to prevent fraying.
