Making Leather Knife Sheaths - How to make simple leather sheaths for hand forged knives. Using vegetable tanned leather, I show Ethan how to create a pattern for your own knife, design a welt and stitch it all together to create a leather sheath. I build a sheath for a viking seax and Ethan build a sheath for his hand forged rambo chopper. He also shows off diy forge projects including a forged tomahawk and a 3d printed pommel that he will get cast in bronze.

I will show the step by process of making some simple leather sheaths with belt loops. Join me in the shop as we layout the initial pattern on leather and cut the pieces to shape. This is an excellent beginner leatherworking project as building a sheath is quite simple. I will be using brass and leather to complete the sheaths.
