Ese día salí muy temprano, como de costumbre; si mal no recuerdo, a eso de las 5 de la mañana. Luego de bajar las primeras curvas y pasar el puente, me topé con que había una cola interminable en la subida. Por la poca visibilidad, decidí esperar y estuvimos ahí más de 45 minutos. Se me hacía tarde y debía llegar a las 7 a.m. a mi destino, el cual era Panajachel, Sololá. Así que decidí comunicarle la situación a mi buen amigo Yovany, conductor de los transportes Santo Tomas, ya que la situación era complicada. Decidí ir a ver cómo estaba la situación y pude notar que un camión de doble eje, de tipo plataforma, se había quedado atravesando casi los dos carriles. El paso era muy complicado, pero calculé que se podía pasar. Esperé un poco más y, al notar que la vía contraria no se movía, decidí regresar a mi vehículo y avanzar lo más rápido posible, ya que adelante había espacio y los demás de la fila no avanzaban. Tenía suficiente espacio para poder esquivar, si era necesario, así que, bueno, me lancé con todo y, de pronto, escuché el rugir de un poderoso DT466 detrás de mí y pensé: "¡ahora es cuando!" Jajajajajaja. Como si hubiera sido planeado. Así que, pues bueno, nos aventamos la cola y lo demás es historia. Espero no aburrirlos con el relato y disfruten del video.

Due to poor visibility, I decided to wait, and we were there for over 45 minutes. I was running late and had to arrive at my destination, Panajachel, Sololá, by 7 a.m. So, I decided to report the situation to my good friend Yovany, the driver for Santo Tomas Transport, as the situation was complicated. I decided to check things out and noticed a double-axle flatbed truck stranded across almost two lanes. The crossing was very difficult, but I figured it was possible. I waited a little longer and, noticing that the oncoming traffic wasn't moving, decided to return to my vehicle and move forward as quickly as possible, since there was still room ahead and the others in the line weren't moving. I had enough room to dodge if necessary, so, well, I went for it, and suddenly, I heard the roar of a powerful DT466 behind me, and I thought, "Now's the time!" Hahahahaha. As if it had been planned. So, well, we jumped on the tail and the rest is history. I hope I didn't bore you with the story, and enjoy the video.
