Enjoy this healthy and delicious Hara Bhara Snack – Methi Matar Muthiya, made with fresh green peas and methi leaves.
A perfect winter special snack that is soft, flavorful and great with tea.

🟢 Ingredients
1 cup green peas
1 cup chopped methi leaves
1 inch ginger
2–3 green chillies
½ cup coriander leaves
½ lemon juice
1–2 tsp sugar
Hing, sesame seeds, carom seeds
Basic spices (salt, turmeric, red chilli, coriander powder)
Flour mix as needed (besan + wheat flour + Bajara and Rava )
Pinch of baking soda

🟢 Full Recipe (Step-by-Step)
1. Make Paste
Blend green peas, ginger, green chillies into a coarse paste.
2. Prepare Dough
Mix methi leaves, chopped coriander leaves and coarse paste, lemon juice, sugar, hing, sesame, ajwain and basic spices.
Add flour little by little and make a soft dough. Add a pinch of baking soda and 2-3 tbsps oil
3. Shape Muthiya
Grease hands with oil and shape small cylindrical muthiya.
4. Steam
Steam for 15–20 minutes until firm.
Cool completely and cut into slices.
5. Tempering
Heat oil, add mustard seeds , Jeera, Hing, sesame seeds and curry leaves.
Add the muthiya slices and toss until lightly crisp.
Lemon Juice and Chopped coriander leaves
6. Serve
Serve warm with chutney or tea.
