If you remember Leg Warmers, The Rubik's Cube, The Sinclair C5, all of the words to "Come On Eileen" and the cast of Fame - then you were around of the 80's. If you also support Watford then have we got a nostalgic treat for you.
Everton have a place in our history but no - we're not going to show the 84 Cup Final (but we might complain about a certain challenge a few times). In the 80's Everton had their golden era and Howard Kendall is probably the closest that the Toffee Men have to a modern equivalent of GT. We've got 3 games to look at:
82/83: The first game in the top flight saw the Toffee's come to Vicarage Road and history made. The program line up was changed as Les Taylor wasn't fit so Gerry Armstrong, portentously came in at number 8 and Luther played Central Midfield wearing number 4 and Les moved to the subs bench.
84/85: Tony Coton's first game. The camera man was all over the place but we have edited this to try to avoid motion sickness! Spoiler alert - we lose but its a goal fest, John Barnes has a couple of runs that will make you smile and don't miss the start as George Riley and Maurice Johnston decide to just attack Everton on their own!
86/87: A third game and Luther is this time partnered with Mark Falco as we try to put a dent in Everton's title ambitions
All good fun and complete nonsense talked - what's not to love!?!
