Day 1 of our trip to the West Country with me crewing and skippers Barry & Mick. Sailing down Southampton water past the P&O Britannia, Weston Shore, Netley, and Victoria Country Park. The wind was on and off so we half sailed and half motor sailed. Catching the tide at Hurst we sailed passing the Needles and across Poole Bay in 2 hours. First stop Swanage, we arrived late afternoon and picked up a buoy for the night. The next day would be an early start, for the long sail past Portland Bill and across Lyme Bay. Southampton to Swanage 6 hours
