Mung bean sprouts are the easiest, no effort, no special equipment vegetable to grow. When the garden doesn't produce, these will do fine on the kitchen counter. All you need is mung beans, a jar and water.
(It's best to purchase sprouting seeds from reputable sellers, to ensure optimal sprouting success).
