We all need to do multiplication many times. There are a wide range of multiplication techniques. The trick of quick multiplication by 11 will be very beneficial for you, if you are preparing for any competitive exam.
In this video you will learn to multiply numbers of any length by 11. Once you learn this technique you can extend it to easily multiply numbers with 22, 33, 44 etc by splitting. For example, to multiply a number say x by 33, you first multiply the number x by 11 and then by 3.
Learn this mental calculation trick to multiply any number by 11. The mental math pattern explained in this video will help you in mentally calculating the product of any number by 11.
▶️ Multiplying Numbers by 11 example and Solution:
234x11= 2574
▶️ Trick to multiply any number by 11:
• Step 1: To multiply a number by 11, first write down the left most digit of the number as it is
• Step 2: Starting from the left, form a pair of 2 digits and write down the sum of the pair as shown
• Step 3: Move to the right and form a new pair by dropping 2 and including the next digit 4. Write down the sum of new pair.
• Step 4: Now we are left with the right most digit 4,which becomes the right most digit in the result
