NO WORRIES! All three nestlings survived and were each seen over the next few days spread out in different trees around the nearby yards. They were about a week away from being ready to leave the nest, so this was a little soon. Luckily, their feathers were grown out enough to allow a graceful fall down to the next twigs & limbs of their nest tree! We banded these guys a couple weeks earlier, and they each have a green color band on their right leg: 3P, 4P, and 5P. I saw all three of them at different times with binoculars and a spotting scope, so I know they're all okay, and I watched the parents deliver food to each of them individually. All is well!
All research was conducted under permits from the US Geological Survey (Master banding permit) and Ohio Department of Natural Resources (Ohio Wild Animal permit).
