This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Michael Kirkpatrick is a folk and rock musician in Northern Colorado, with decades of musical success. His 10 minute live performance at TEDxCSU showcased his versatile talent and compassionate personality.
Michael has called Fort Collins home for the past 12 years. He became an apprentice of the world-renown Santa Fe Opera and is the found-er and lead singer of The Holler!, a beloved regional Folkadelic Rock act. His solo singer-songwriter career has led him down many roads, including national tours, albums, and, most recently, winning the 2014 Telluride Troubadour Award at the Telluride Bluegrass.
About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
