Urban food production provides multiple co-benefits for climate action, biodiversity, and circularity. It can also have an educational dimension, foster the inclusion of vulnerable groups, and strengthen community building. Yet, despite these far-reaching benefits, challenges remain in scaling urban food production. In this Urban Lunch Talk, we will explore key questions: Where is it viable to implement urban food production? How did the COVID-19 pandemic influence the practice? What lessons have our panelists learned? And can their research and innovation projects be replicated and scaled up?
