Having worked in several cases both nationally and internationally, forensic pathologist Raquel Fortun talks about another aspect of her work: as an expert witness and why it's more fun in the Philippine courts.
Named one of 2004’s Outstanding Women in the Nation’s Service, and also one of the Philippine Ten Outstanding Young Men in 2002, Dr Raquel Fortun is the first Filipina forensic pathologist. She has worked in cases such as the Subic Rape Case in 2006 and the Ozone Fire Disco Tragedy in 1996. Dr Fortun has also worked in other countries like the Netherlands, Japan, and Cambodia. She currently teaches at the University of the Philippines Manila College of Medicine.
