I'm ready to sell my house...where do I start? What is the first step that I need to take?
You already made the decision to not use an agent and you want to go ahead and try to save those commissions and list your house for sale by owner. What is the first step?
Find comparable comps in the area. What are other houses around you are going for per square foot that are comparable to the same size and updates as your house?
Once you figure out all of your numbers then you can stick your for sale by owner sign out in the front yard with your number and list it on Zillow and Trulia.
You will get some calls from agents. If you don’t mind paying the fee for the buyer side then they would want to do it for you and then you only have to pay half of the commission fees.
It won’t be listed on the MLS.
Always make sure whether the buyers have an agent or if they don’t that you close through a title office.
