The 'Link Fingering' is the scale shape I use the most by far. It allows me to link all the pentatonic shapes across the fretboard as with easy access to all the triad chords and arpeggios.
Not only does the finger help us move smoothly across the fretboard but it is also a great sounding scale shape as we use a lot of slides to move between the different hand positions of the pentatonic scale.
