Christmas isn’t just about Jesus coming to us; it’s about us being made new in Him. The Gospel of John reveals Jesus not through a manger scene but through eternity itself: “In the beginning was the Word.” John presents Jesus as the One Israel had been waiting for — the Prophet foretold by Moses and the divine Memra (Logos), the living Word of God who creates, speaks, and accomplishes God’s purposes. This eternal Word became flesh in Jesus, bringing light into darkness and offering everyone who receives Him the right to be born again as children of God.
