Treloar’s is a School and a College based in Hampshire providing education for extraordinary, full-of-potential disabled young people and adults. Every young person deserves an education which sets them up for life, but sadly, face many challenges in receiving that education. At Treloar’s, we look beyond the disability to help our students fulfil their potential.

In 2022, we set out to create three short films, each with an aim of creating an opportunity for young disabled people to present themselves as individuals, encompassing their identity as a disabled person, but also showing that they are so much more than their disability.

Although our students may have visual or hearing impairments, communication challenges or medical needs, they are still young people, with hopes, fears and dreams just like everyone else. They are vital to their families, social circles and communities and deserve the same opportunities to pursue fulfilment and happiness.

When a student arrives at Treloar’s, they may come with a whole range of different equipment and skills that our talented staff must work with to give the best possible care and educational experience.

This is very much an ongoing process for many of our students, like Alex, who need support from Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Assistive Technology to make adaptations and repairs to the various pieces of equipment they use on a day-to-day basis.

Our amazing fundraisers make a real difference to the lives of the young people here at Treloar’s. You can help in many ways: run a marathon, hold a cake sale, climb a mountain or play TRELOTTERY, the possibilities are endless!
