HO Scale: Railfanning the Kansas City Eastern (pt3)

Filmed: 04/13 and 05/25/19

Today we're wrapping up this set with part 3 of this railfanning series. In the last two parts I've been at other areas on the layout, trying to film from locations I haven't filmed from very much in the past. But for this part, it all takes place back at my section of the layout.

This is all filmed at the Kansas City Eastern's Excelsior Yard. The CSX /IAIS consist has returned after it's run in the last video and takes the holding tracks while they wait for their servicing before leaving KCE property, returning to their home rails.

A point of interest, if you look at the front edge of the layout you can see a wooden guard rail sticking up just in case something were to happen and locomotives and/or rolling stock were to get bumped and knocked over. The guard is to prevent them from falling to the floor... but here it looks tacky. Which leads us to the next video set.

I will start that next week, and pay attention to the front edge of the yard there. That ugly guard has been dressed up, so again, that will start next week. As for Wednesday's railfanning video, I have one more from here in Blue Springs to show; and it will NOT be KCS Belles. Then the following week I'll start a set from Kansas City's Union Station.
