In this video I show my process for making a survival knife for a customer, using spalted maple from their family farm!
0:35 - cutting and stabilizing the handle scales
1:55 - cutting and shaping the blade
3:45 - grinding the bevel
5:40 - heat treating
6:06 - polishing and finishing the blade
7:55 - electro etching my makers mark
8:46 - rough shaping and attaching the handle scales
12:25 - final shaping and polishing of the handle
15:05 - cutting leather for sheath
16:25 - gluing and stitching the sheath
18:15 - sanding, dying and burnishing
20:35 - wet forming sheath to knife and finishing sheath
22:25 - sharpening knife
