Kamala Harris Didn’t Lose because of Low Voter Turnout

It seems this election wasn't as clear cut as everyone's making it out to be.

A few notes:
All my maps were made with Google Sheets' built in GeoChart feature. All the comparisons I make here are between elections since 2000, so instances in which I refer to the "highest turnout" for a particular state, I mean to say the highest turnout since 2000. When I finished editing this video, only seven states hadn't certified their vote totals, but all 7 of those states were at 99% reporting, so safe to say any conclusions made here shouldn't change drastically. If they do I'll leave a note here.

If you're curious, only seven states had the highest (VEP adjusted) turnout in this past election, the five I mentioned in the video (NV, MI, WI, PA, GA), as well as New Hampshire & North Dakota.

I used the University of Florida Election Lab for VEP estimates from 2012 onwards, and the US Elections Project for estimates 2008 and earlier (since UF didn't have estimates prior to 2012).
