The follow video is a sound color film shot by my dad in April 1985 when he was a ticket agent at Amtrak. The film documents C&O Engineer Al Glover's last run from Newport News to Richmond, Va. The film starts just west of Newport News at Oriana, Va and features the stop at Williamsburg, the stations at Norge and Providence Forge, and the aftermath of the Main Street Station fire in downtown Richmond. According to my Dad, Al Glover was quite the railroader and southern gentleman. He will be greatly missed. Special thanks to my Dad for allowing me to post these to the internet.
