But experts consider the OIC's statement to be "based on incomplete information."

Many analysts believe that this issue is purely technical, and linking it with political rhetoric is detrimental to South Asian stability.

The international media is characterizing this situation as "Hydro-Diplomacy in South Asia."

India's growing water-management capabilities, dam technology, and transparent water policy are being viewed as a model by many countries.
