I hope this helps all of you if you are trying to grow your own natural nails.
1 Drink plenty of water throughout the day
2 Eat more fruits and leafy green veggies
3 Take supplements like Biotin start out with 1000 mcg (daily), or 5000 mcg but take that once a month or you will break out a lot
4 Horsetail is great for the Silica content but also helps with nails big time!
5 B complex liquid supplement which has Biotin and is probably easier on the body and you won't break out.
6 You can also take Vitamin E capsule supplements but make sure its the D-Alpha Tocopheryl kind on the ingredients .
7 Use nail hardeners or strengtheners all year round.
8 Use a good Vitamin E oil the higher the IU (international Units) number the better for your skin hair and nails
9 Use the ASP lightless gel to patch your broken nails it really helps so the nail will grow out ...as well as silk or fiberglass to patch the cracks. (you can find the ASP at Sally Beauty Supply or Amazon)

10 Use a non acetone as much as you can staying away from pure acetone if you can.Although you can use the pure acetone to remove stubborn glitters ;)

11 Use common sense and don't use your nails as tools.;)
