Why Did the Common Stance of the Organization of Turkic States Break Down?

At the meeting held in Samarkand and hosted by Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan participated at the presidential level. Also in attendance were European Council President Antonio Costa, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and senior executives of international financial institutions affiliated with the EU.

The final declaration of the meeting stated that the countries had resolved the border issues that had continued until 7–8 years ago and emphasized that they could now act together on the international stage. In addition, Article 4 of the declaration highlighted their intention to align with the United Nations' decision on the Cyprus issue. Furthermore, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan have appointed ambassadors to the Greek Cypriot Administration.
