This ice breaker was taught to our 2012-2013 KEYS Service Corps members. The game is called Birdie on a Perch. It's just like musical chairs, except the people are the chairs. One person is a birdie, the other is the perch. They form two circles and must rotate in opposite directions. When the music stops, the partners must get together and somehow get the birdie off the ground. The last team to do so is eliminated. No part of the birdie can touch the ground until the eliminated team is announced.
We think this ice breaker is perfect for youth in middle school or high school.
